    memtest returns errors

This might not be a proper question for Ubuntu forums but I would like some advise.
I think I have some memory problems with new system build.
I ran memtest+ on 6gb of memory and got 1762 errors.
Does that indicate bad memory? SHould I get completely clean results?

    thanks in advance

Yes, memtest should come back clean.

Is your system overclocked? That might effect it. Try one stick of RAM at a time, see which one is throwing up errors. Bear in mind you could have a faulty slot on the motherboard instead of dodgy memory.
    There's no place like ~/
