Use whatever OS or desktop works for you. Dual boot or use VMs if you want. Backup your computer regularly, and definitely before upgrading, partitioning, or installing an OS.

hmm. I looked in the Ubuntu repositories for man pages and found them for French, Turkish, Polish, Japanese, Italian, Czech, Spanish, Chinese, Hungarian, Portuguese, Russian, German, and of course English.
I didn't see one for Finnish.
