Question what version of Ubuntu for ATOM Processor N455

    I've bought a netbook SAMSUNG NF-108-A01

    configuration:

    CPU: Intel ATOM Processor N455 ( x86 family 6 model 28 stepping 10 genuine intel ~ 1662 Mhz )

    Memory: 1 GB

    HDD: 250 GB

    LCD: 10.1"

What version of Ubuntu, Lubuntu or Xubuntu can be suitable for it?

You should be able to run any version of Ubuntu, but Lubuntu would be lighter and a bit faster.

Depends on your preferences but I would try both Xubuntu or Lubuntu, with Lubuntu being more lightweight. Xubuntu has a bit more eyecandy.

Using just about the same specs, however I'm running Ubuntu. It's pretty light weight and I haven't had any issues at all. 1.6-GHz Intel Core Duo T2050, 1GB of ram and just under 40GB of HD space. Half my hard drive has unrepairable errors, just around the 45GB mark so I partioned that whole half off.

yes you can run , but performance problems gonna occur .
ubuntu by default run with 300-400 MB of ram in my system .
ok the main thing is for what kind of purpose you wanna use it .

@raja.genupula for very normal use. just net browsing, IRC, reading pdf books, listening music etc etc.
I think I should look for Lubuntu.

+1 for Lubuntu on a netbook. Sure, it'll handle Ubuntu, but it'll hit swap a lot with 1GB RAM and you'll see the performance degrade as a result. Lubuntu without all the eye candy will run pretty smoothly. I just bought a Toshiba netbook with the Atom dual core and 1GB RAM and it even runs Windows 7 smoothly so I'd think Lubuntu would fly on it (relatively speaking...it is just a netbook).
