    Why was my post deleted?

Really puzzled about this one. I can only assume someone is going to tell me it violated the CoC, but could that someone please tell me which part of my post violated which part of the CoC?

My post, from memory (I assume the original is visible to mods anyway):

I don't have a main OS as an IT specialist I have to support not only Linux clients but Windows and Apple both Desktop and Server.

Along with all my IT related activities I have also been involved with other community based activities.

There you have your answer , the last you will receive in polite terms.
    Take it easy...
I didn't ask you to justify your support, a ''yes'' or ''no'' would have been sufficient: I would have taken your word for it. Does this mean the reason you mod this forum is to support Linux?

Everyone has a main OS whether they know/like/intend it or not. Which desktop OS do you use most on computers where you are the main user, and where you choose the OS installed?
I assume my guess of OSX is correct, because you haven't said otherwise.

You have also left unanswered (again) my question of whether you have anything positive to say about Linux: What positive things, if any, do you have to say about Linux?
--------------- How and where in that post have I broken any rules? ??? I'm just not seeing it...

Refer item 7 in the code of conduct "Thread Drifting/Steering: Please keep discussions on topic. "

The thread in question was about FOSS in Germany. Your continuing line of posting was off topic. Your post was removed(jailed) to stop this.

Re: Why was my post deleted?

That seems unreasonable, as it was a direct reply to your post, which was not deleted...

On a related note, does UF have any policy concerning mods modding threads they are participating in?

    1. I am not a Moderator I am ad Administrator and Forum Council Member.

    2. There is no hard rule against posting and moderating in the same thread, it is not ideal however if staff see a breach of the Code of Conduct they are free to act on it.

    3. Your posts were not related to the subject of the thread they were directed personally.

    1. You have an internal title, but as far as users are concerned, anyone who moderates is a moderator.

    2. I'm glad that you and UF can see there is at least potential for problems with that. Surely the responsible thing for a mod to do would be to ask a colleague to step in? A hard and fast rule would be nice, but I assume that's wishful thinking...

    3. I know, we covered that earlier. Just pointing out that my post is no less on topic than yours, so it seems unreasonable to delete only mine. It gives the appearance that the rules only apply to the proles.
