a little question for yas all.....What is the best way to stop VLC media player messing up when im watching a move from the hard drive?
its like its not running properly!! lots of breaks in the viewing and some wont even play!!! ive up dated it and still no joy!!
can anyone help me please as im in desperate need to watch movies!!!

vlc can be quite a resource hog.
make sure any other apps are not running & if still a problem try out the excellent Movie Player which is more lightweight

no mention of all these errors in original post, so my answer may have been inappropriate
i would try the nuclear option of reinstalling restricted codecs and vlc / movie player.
do movies play ok from dvd drive ?

im running the programme from my netbook so no dvd drive..... got everything else working fine on my netbook its now just this problem i have!!!
ive removed VLC and movie player and installed all codecs required but still no joy!!! feel like i cant watch anything!!!
