Looking for a "game console/media center" program or distro

Hi,

I am looking for a "game console/media center" program or distro, i.e. I want to use a PC as a game console/media center entirely controllable with joypads and easy to use.
Any recommendations?

Honestly, with a wireless mouse, controllers, and a tv, I think Ubuntu 11.04 will be as close as you can get, because LinuxMCE is not doing so well at the moment and mythubuntu doesn't particularly integrate games into the media center.

The reason I suggest 11.04 is because of Unity. That interface would be perfect on a television screen where text is not easy to read anyway (unless you have a REAL tv). Plus it's designed to be used for that kind of thing. I have my television set up that way and I use my ps3 controller like a mouse on the desktop and like a controller in games. It works out very nicely.

Agreed on the above. I use 10.10 netbook edition on my media centre, it looks like it was made for the TV.
