    Graphics cards and xrandr

    Hi
    Ubuntu 10.04 onward
    32bit and 64bit

Can anybody please tell me if their currently available graphics card obeys:
    xrandr -x
    and then
    xrandr -o normal
    ?

If so, what is the name, etc, of the card? Preferably available in the UK.

Also, do the cards support the extra visual effects in Ubuntu?

    Many thanks,
    David

Just looking at xrandr commands, I see that according to the man info the option -x is for versions 1.0/1.1. I'm running 1.3 on mine, which is a recently updated 10.04 Ubuntu Studio, x64. Might want to look at the new option formats...

I'm on 10.04.1 all updates and it works fine. Also works on maverick ...

If anybody could test their cards even using Ubuntu's non-proprietary driver I'd be very grateful.

Works fine with my Radeon X1950 Pro with the latest packages from xorg-edgers repository.

PS: Copy-pasting "xrandr -o normal" to terminal was difficult with an inverted screen. I feel like a hero now.
