On my system this clip played well enough but it seemed a little unstable at times with a few glitches especially when moving back and forwards in the stream with either vlc or MPlayer. I re-encoded the video and I would be interested to hear if the new version solves your problems with playback, it certainly had better playback on my own setup. I have placed the file here for a couple of days:

Hi zerocoll,

The file converted with the git ffmpeg with the following syntax:

ffmpeg -i ciau.flv \
       -vcodec libx264 -vpre slow -crf 22 \
       -acodec copy \
       ciau_redux.flv

If MPlayer does not play this file for you could you run it as follows and post the full command and uncut terminal ouput:

mplayer -v ciau_redux.flv

BTW you should not normally have to convert to .flv for vlc as it will play most container formats.
