So you want to record your voice, then play it back at the same time? Do you have a microphone?

Yes I have a microphone. I want to listen to my voice while reading a document aloud.

Unless you want to record it, I can't think why you would need a computer to do this. If you do want to record, try Audacity with the software passthrough option to monitor your voice.

Well, thats because I find it much easier to learn that way. I have my ebooks and would like to learn it this way. But yes, I would also like to record it and listen to it when I can't access my PC.

    Thanks for replying.

Look in the extra volume settings. You can turn on "monitor" and select the channel that you want to monitor--probably mic. If you wear a headset with a microphone, you will hear your voice when you speak. You can adjust the volume as needed.

You can also do this in audacity and select "monitor input" in the microphone dropdown list. Audacity allows you to record what you read and you can then export it to mp3 and put it on a player.
