Iv'e been using linux for a while now (Ubuntu as my main OS for the last few years...), I have only recently heard of "The Linux Foundation" which was started in 2007...
Should I be supporting this and how many of you are members?

I've never heard of it and I doubt most Linux users have. Ubuntu is more than just an operating system, but there's no need to go further than using it if you don't want to.
Ubuntu Daily - Your daily dose of Ubuntu
Ubuntu 11.04 x64, AMD Athlon x2 II 215, 2GB RAM, ATI Radeon HD 4550, 20.5" Monitor
Another very important foundation is the Free Software Foundation.
They work very hard for us. They do need our support.
More that an operating system? Interesting lol ;
I'm interested in the ethecis of the foundation... from the knowledge of the ubuntu community, i see canonical is a member of the foundation which is good... I just get sceptical sometimes, don't like to support anything driven by large cooperation's...
The Linux Foundation has alot of large corp members, I'd like to know if they are driven by them or suppored by them?
From what iv'e read so far; they seem to be all good... not sure how I havn't heard of them till now;

Linux Foundating is good. I like them.
They provide Open Printing Database (formally known as "Linux Printing")
