    Invisible cursor in Ubuntu 10.10

I've just installed Ubuntu 10.10 and the cursor is white on a white background. I tried changing it using the Appearance settings and only the size changed, not the colour.

Can anyone explain why this is happening, and how to change the cursor so that it is visible. Have never had this trouble with any other Linux distro, so it's not hardware.

    Thanks
    Alex

Re: Invisible cursor in Ubuntu 10.10

I am having the same issue on my installation of Ubuntu 10.04
It began just recently but not sure what I did to cause it to happen. I also have some problem with losing my internet connection periodically.
The cursor issue is quite annoying and usual has me having to hit the reset button on the computer and at best finding a way to log off or restart by being lucky enough to find where the cursor is by seeing it highlight items on the desktop.
So far after running Ubuntu about 2 months I am still going but with some problems such as this.
