Well....

there is this general thing about re-uploading the icons to different places.

I like the Eikon set but I would like to see the original creator getting some credit by uploading it himself to gnome-look or somewhere else. I guess another problem is that those icons are partly from different other sets so that it is hard to keep track of who the different original artists were.

To make Eikon usable for official inclusion in a distribution, those legal issues should be solved.

If anyone has the time, you could probably contact the creator here and inquire about that:

If he regards Eikon as an abandoned project maybe someone else could grab it and start it afresh at gnome-look or launchpad, one could problably figure out who contributed what and make further improvements.
