Question How do I install? (Peerblocker type)

Hey everyone! I just got Ubuntu installed on my CR-48, and it's awesome. I finally have a machine where Ubuntu will be used often. I want to say that I used to use ubuntu consistently roughly 2 years ago, but I forgot many things, basic and advanced. Also, I know for sure there are some threads like this, but some I found were very helpful and good, and some confused me, hence why I'm creating this thread, and if my memory serves me, the ubuntu community freakin rocks and is very helpful! First I'd like to thank everyone for their indirect help haha.

Now here's my situation: I need to install a Peerblocker, and I'm on Ubuntu 10.10. I'm used to Peerblock on Windows 7, but I need something for Ubuntu maverick. This is what I found: http://sourceforge.net/projects/peerguardian/

    How would I install this?

Also, if anybody else uses a peerblocking type software like peerblock, etc, and they think they know of a better one than this, could you please provide a link with installation instructions?

Re: How do I install? (Peerblocker type)

Since the file is a .tar.gz, I assume that it is the source code, and requires compiling (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=323939). I also noticed that the title indicated that it did not have a GUI (Graphical User Interface). Somewhat unrelated, but does Google allow people to install altenate operating systems on the Cr-48, because it is for testing purposes?

Edit: I noticed that there is a file named INSTALL (name of file, not emphasis) in the folder, to access it extract the folder (right click, extract here), then open the folder and open the file.

I see, I'll see if that means anything, but does anybody else have any input?

And on the CR-48 note, yes, they do! They actually wrote a tutorial on installing and dual booting ubuntu on the CR-48!
