HP6500 Scan function?

I am running Ubuntu 10.10, and I have an hp6500 that prints flawlessly using a wireless connection. What do I need to do in order to get it to scan? Basic steps please. Thank you!

Hello, I have a HP officejet 6500 e709a. Not wireless but networked.

If you got printing working you shouldn't have to do anything else. Go to applications> graphics> simple scan and select the printer in preferences.

There is also a feature called webscan if you go to the printers IP. Mine is 192.168.1.247/webScan.htm for example.
