Boy I feel stoopid missing the "n", I have to laugh because I checked it like 10 times... oh well it was a long night! I started from memory before the thread opened so I hope I didn't mess anything up doing it out of order, anyway:

    dylan@htpc-Vostro-200:~$ sudo ndiswrapper -i ~/Desktop/Broadcom_bcm43xx_USB_32_64bit_v2/bcmn43xx64.inf
    [sudo] password for dylan:

    dylan@htpc-Vostro-200:~$ sudo mv /etc/modprobe.d/options /etc/modprobe.d/options.conf
    dylan@htpc-Vostro-200:~$ sudo ndiswrapper -i ~/Deskop/Broadcom_bcm43xx_USB_32_64bit_v2/bcmn43xx64.inf
    driver bcmn43xx64 is already installed

No worries. I've done worse myself. I've done worse today!!
    couldn't find install section "BCM43XXN32" -

Please see here. This is the same problem and I propose the same experimental fix.

    Especially note:
We might as well try it, we have very little else to try, frankly. I am sorry it took me so long to reply, this is a very tough problem.

Re: Wireless USB N300 Netgear install

So I am brand new to linux and really want to not be pushed away but this network thing is annoying me to no end.

I read through several different forums and post to try and get this to work.

As it stands right now I somehow was about to get Ubuntu 13.04 to see the wireless WNA3100 USB adapter and says it is connected to my wireless router. It will even connect to sites for about 90 seconds then it just times out constantly. Can restart and surf before it times out. I do use WPA2 encryption but it seems to still cause issues even if open network.

I am really sorry to be so new at this platform but I really dont want to give up and move back to Win7. Any help would be great, thank you.

Doe the logs have any clues?
    Code:
    dmesg | grep -e wlan -e ndis -e 80211
    cat /var/log/syslog | grep -e wlan -e ndis -e 80211 | tail -n20
