Netflix Watch Instantly on Meerkat Ion

How to make a fresh Meerkat Ion with Lucid run Netflix? E.g., which VM to use (or dual-boot), is either W7 or winXP preferable, how to tweak audio, video, networking? Details:

My GF decided to get a Meerkat Ion and to start streaming Netflix (latter on my old XP ThinkPad). Once the nettop arrives I wanna make it run Netflix, and I'd appreciate advice. Note that

1. Her Meerkat Ion has options={4 GB RAM, Intel Wi-Fi Link 5100}.
2. I have M$ DVDs for both Windows7 and XP SP3.
3. Windows will probably only be used for Netflix, since she's been able to do all her work on her Starling (just wants a "real keyboard" and bigger monitor).

My guess is, I'd want to install VirtualBox and then install W7 on that. Will that be adequately performant?

If so, are there configuration details of which I should be aware for installing on this hardware?

If not, what else should I try?

That would work, but I would go with XP since it has much lower hardware requirements. That would help, since the Meerkat's Atom processor wasn't really designed for virtualization.

Given the latter, would dual-booting XP be preferable to virtualizing XP, for this usecase (Netflix streaming)?

Do you have a gaming system? I would use that for netflix streaming.

You could also hold out a little while on the XP install to see how the Amazon prime streaming situation goes, since it seems that works with ubuntu.
