    Getting Enlightened with Bodhi Linux

Nearing it's first stable release Bodhi Linux is a "minimalistic, enlightened, Linux desktop". Focusing on user choice and easy customization Bodhi's use of the Enlightenment desktop also makes it suitable for older systems. Also provided are weekly snapshots of the Enlightenment desktop built right from the E developer SVN along with the widest selection of EFL related modules and applications any distro can offer. Of course a picture is worth 1,000 words - so here are some shots of some of the 42 default configurations Bodhi offers:

Our about page and a few reviews if you care to learn more and of course our distro watch page.

Nice GUI. The only thing I don't really like is the "dock" its just too flat.
    I like Pinguy's dock more.
But yeah in terms of light-ness this looks pretty good.

The most notable feature is weekly updates of the desktop built directly from the E SVN in addition to the vast about of default desktop setups to choose from.

E SVN sees around 1000 commits per-month. So to stay current it is important users stay up to date to keep the latest features.

I've been using it for about a month. I really like it.

For those who want a minimalist starting point (and I mean you get Midori, Synaptic, and a couple minor programs on the iso), it's awesome. I added in Gimp, Geany, Abiword, Shotwell, and Gnome games. That's it.

No useless chat programs, no unneeded accessibility programs, no Open Office with it's 100 dependencies, etc. I love it.
