Im New to ubuntu and have problems

ok im new to ubuntu and i think its fantastic.....i just downloaded the ubuntu 10.10 netbook edition and loaded it straight onto my netbook!!

but i have a few issues with it......for example.

1) when im watching videos, it wont go full screen also when im on the internet and scroll down its like the screen is jumpy....same in the videos too....

2)My micraphone aint working on my netbook.....in the applications there is a sound recorder...it works on that but dont work on skype!!

i think there is something im missin or havnt downloaded yet....but i need help with these issuse asap!!

all help would be gratefull!!

if ya need more details ill send them on here!!

once again infomation on these issus would be good!!

You might be able to configure this with the sound control applet at the upper right of the screen (volume indicator). Open "Volume Control..." and it will show your sound input and output devices with volume controls for each.

just done that and still no joy on skype!!! made a test call....just full of static!!

also been into skype and tried to sort it there!! Still NO JOY!!
