Question virtualized ubuntu up to 800x600

Hi there, I have installed an ubuntu 10.10 x64 with VBox but I only have resolutions: 640x480 and 800x600 my screens are full HD, at less I want to have 1024x768.

    How I change the resolution

xrandr -s 1024x768 doesn't work because is not an available mode.

I'm using Kubuntu x64 and I have the addons installed.

I'd like to set some custom resolutions, how can I do that?

    Thanks,
    ANkh

    Ankhwatcher,

Here is what I have seen. I am running vBox 4.0.4, but this was true on 4.0.2 as well: the 32 bit version of 10.10 will not do wide screen in Vbox, but the 64 bit version of 10.10 does.

Compiz is working correctly on both the 32 and 64 bit vbox instances.

Now I can go larger that 800x600 (buy 1 step) in 32 bit, but I only get 4:3 ratio in 32 bit, but I get wide screen in 64 bit.

    I hope this helps. Somehow...

Look at all those flashing lights! I'll take one!
