Wasn't Java GPL'ed by Sun before they sold themselves to Oracle? I was looking at an updated version of Java for Windows, and noticed a EULA instead of the GPL.
What's the story? What gives? And what do I do about Java in my Ubuntu box?

OpenJDK and the IcedTea plugin are fine for most people, some will need sun-java (Oracle), which is in the partner repos.

Thanks for your reply (sorry for my VERY late response).
How will Oracle's actions (they apparently changed JAVA from the GPL to a EULA) affect OpenJDK and Icedtea? Aren't they based off of JAVA?
And where does that leave me? I still have JAVA installed in my Ubuntu box, and I see JAVA(?) updates available for Ubuntu....
