Wine & Forsaken World

The patcher for Forsaken World runs fine. Once I try to start the game. I get an error(the game has encountered a serious error and needs to close). Any ideas?

I checked Forsaken World forums and this is still unsovled in wine 1.3 but seems to work in 1.2.7 or some earlier version of wine.

Does that game use GameGuard or HackShield anti-cheat protection? If so, it will never work in Wine.

No. It uses proprietary anti-cheat/hack software invisible to end user. Their other games work fine in Linux.

Battle of the immortals doesnt work through wine and I dont think (Not 100% sure) Forsaken World does either so either they changed something with their newest games or its just because the game is in beta, release is tomorrow so I think you should give it a try then =) Good luck!
