    recommendation wanted:external DVD player

I want to buy an external usb CD-DVD reader/writer that can be used in Haiti. My friend, an English teacher, will be using it for his work.

So I want it to be:
    -reliable
    -compatible with Ubuntu and Windows
    -reasonably-priced

If you have an external DVD drive that is Ubuntu-compatible and has not had reliability problems, please let me know what it is.

    Thanks!
Want two extra gigs of hard drive space?
Support running Ubuntu from a compressed file!

I picked up an I/O Magic external optical drive a couple years ago and have no regrets. I wouldn't say it's had a rough life, but it seems like a simple, solid design, and hasn't failed to boot whatever bootable CD or DVD I've put in it.
