    Kopete in GNOME

I'm trying to use Kopete in GNOME, because it is the only client I can find that is supposed to have all the features I want; however, when I assign a group custom notifications, it doesn't work! I try to give different sounds to different groups, but none of the sounds play!

One thing I notice is that Kopete tries to use the sound card directly. Is there a way to make it use Pulseaudio like everything else does?

I made KDE use pulseaudio using systemsettings > multimedia I think - might have been a different one. I still don't get custom notifications from Kopete though.
