Hi, all,

My wife uses our Ubuntu desktop for her job providing customer service and support calls on the phone. Her company uses Yahoo! Messenger to schedule incoming calls and for her to communicate back and forth with her supervisors. She can get the basic functions of Y!Messenger with Empathy.

But she would really like to be able to turn on an auto-response. When she is on the phone with a customer, even if she has set her status to "Away" or "Busy," other customers keep sending her messages, and she would like to be able to set a single outgoing message to be automatically sent to let people know she is busy and will be available momentarily.

Is there a way to set up an "Away Message" for Y!Messenger using Empathy? If not, is there another Ubuntu-compatible IM client that does support this feature?

Also, she would ideally like to be invisible to some contacts and not others (e.g., invisible to clients but not her supervisor). GyachI will do this, but she really hates GyachI's UI. Again, can anyone recommend something that will help?

Thanks!
