Have been using 10.10 for a while with no wired networking issues.

I think on Jan 28th I started seeing issues (but can't be certain that was the date). I know I have done several updates since that date.

The issue I first saw was Skype would disconnect for periods of a minute or more and then reconnect and be stable for a period. I now have 2 ping clients going .. one successfully pinging a host on my company's internal network and one failing to ping ubuntu.com (91.189.94.156).

I have tried connecting a WindowsXP host to the same ethernet cable and do not see any problems (I put a hub on the same port and connected via the hub so both the Ubuntu machine and the Win machine were connected through the same port I was seeing failures over).

Anyone have any thoughts what to try? Given the internal ping is working, it doesn't seem likely its a network card issue does it?
