    Cheap Ubuntu compatible touchscreen solution

    Hi all,

After searching for quite some time and coming up with nothing I figured it would be worth asking the community for some help...

I'm looking for a Ubuntu compatible touchscreen at a reasonable price.

    • I don't care if it's just a monitor or part of a tablet/laptop/desktop
    • It doesn't have to support multitouch
    • It don't mind a bit of hacking/warranty-voiding to make it work (so long as it has been proven to be Ubuntu compatible)

I've looked into the Archos 101 which would most likely work with Ubuntu but so far there has only been a proof of concept using Angstrom Linux and I cannot take the risk. I also do not want a chroot/VPN solution like that of the Nook Color Ubuntu hack; I want to boot straight into Ubuntu.

Any suggestions at all are greatly appreciated! Thanks for reading.

anything from eGalaxTouch should work,, check ebay that is where i got my touchscreen for my eeepc. i did have to tweak my xserver because the egalax drivers and xserver were both trying to control it at the same time.
There is an easy way, and a hard way to do things.
If you're anything like me, you've tried to do things things the hard way,

    and broke something.......
