ath9k_htc driver

I have ath9k_htc driver for my D-Link DWA-126 usb wifi adapter, but I can't switch channells when using airodump-ng. Maybe it's wrong driver. Any solutions ?

I am a new user of Linux OS

I have the exact same usb card (DWA-126 Wireless-N 150 USB adapter)
I concluded from many websites that this is the right driver (ath9k_htc),however, I could not even get the interface working on Ubuntu !!!

I tried firmware,compat-wireless, ..... it just does not appear when I use (iwconfig)

My Ubuntu Kernel is (2.6.38-11-generic) 64-Bit and I am using VMware to run the system.

Could the problem be that the version is too new ??? Please send me a torrent link for any image of Ubuntu or Backtrack that supports this card and how can I get it running with the injection because this is why I tried Linux .... (to crack some WPAs).
