Install Mac OS X Snow Leopard on external USB Hard drive?

I have ubuntu 10.04, and I want to have all 3 main OS's operating on the same computer..
So I have linux as my main system, windows in a virtual machine (virtualbox) and now I have a Mac OS X Snow Leopard CD that I'd like to install onto a 1 TB USB external hard drive...The only problem is that I don't know how to install it to the hard drive, since it plugs in through USB..

So how could I do this? Thanks.

oh, and I'm on a PC.
