Unhappy system76-driver won't install in maverick

I somewhat recently upgraded to maverick, and just now to tried to install the system76 drivers after a kernel upgrade to 2.6.35-23-generic. However, running the driver program in terminal, it stops after giving this,
    Code:
    options snd-hda-intel model=acer-aspire
    Any help is appreciated

    Thanks

Is your computer an Acer Aspire? If so, that is your problem. The System 76 driver is designed to recognize and run on System 76 computers. Computersthat have Ubuntu installed on it. It is not designed for other manufacturer's computers.

No, it is a system76 Starling. I probably should have mentioned that... haha

I think I sent you and email about this. If not, then please post the entire output of the driver. That line itself is normal, and doesn't represent a problem. I think the issue is further up in the output.
