If you are using self-netwroking ip cameras---they use an RTSP video stream..I can explain...and they use a .CRF file type and MPEG 4 --h.264. You can see up to 36 cameras at same time. The free version allows 4 at a time. Send me an email for a step by step instructions. I am running 8 cameras with very little cablinmg. I use wireless and homeplugs running over the electrical wiring of the house. Inexpensive...no wiring and EASY...oh and no ugly wires all over the place.
