Translation-geared editor that does XML

I have been translating a couple of Android packages (released under FSF-approved licences). My first 2 projects involved an XML localization file and a PO localization file. The XML-localized project involved using gEdit to translate about 30 strings, which took twice as long as translating 90 strings in gTranslator for the PO-localized project.
Since I wanna take on bigger jobs and one of them uses XML files for localization, I wanted to see if there were any packages like gTranslator or poedit that will work with XML localization files. Googling didn't help.
