How to find out which CDROM driver is in use?

I've earlier posted a thread regarding my troubles with getting my LG CH10 Blu-Ray Reader to work with linux/ubuntu. I'm building a HTPC (Home Theater PC) and when I tried out and installed XBMC Live (a derivation of Ubuntu Mobile if I'm not mistaken) the correct cdrom drivers where found and installed so that it works correctly. But I want to run a configured version of Ubuntu instead of XBMC Live and when I install Ubuntu it can't find the appropriate drivers. I receive a message similar to "No common cdrom was found", I don't recall the exact words but from my research it's apparently not a too uncommon error. So my question is (please keep in mind that I'm a linux newbie): How do I find out which cdrom drivers are in use on my XBMC Live installation?
