5 Cups of Ubuntu
I have a Compaq 2195us with integrated Broadcom 802.11b/g wireless, driver version 3.70.17.0. I don't have much experience with Linux, but I tried both Puppy Linux and Ubuntu 10.10, and I simply cannot get the wireless to work. This is the only thing holding me back from switching or installing Linux on this machine. Any help would be appreciated on how to get the wireless working. Are there any other drivers to try out? The driver on my Compaq is supposedly the latest.

If lspci shows that yours is not a BCM43** card then post back with details and someone may be able to help you.
