Question Advice for new PC wrt hardware compatibility. Sandy bridge/Radeon 6900

I am going to buy a new PC because my current PC broken down after 4.5 years of intense usage. I want to know if there are any major compatibility problems I would be facing with ubuntu.

    New hardware:
    Mobo: ASUS P8P67 PRO
    Processor: i5 2500K or i7 2600K
    GPU: ATI 6950 or 6970
    Ram: 8GB
    HD: Samsung spinpoint 1TB

I realize that the 6900 series is not supported yet, but I wonder if it's possible to run with this card until the drivers arrive without compiz. I am willing to wait a couple of months, but only if I can run ubuntu.

Also, are there any compatibility problems with the new sandy bridge processors or the P8P67 motherboard? I use a P67 motherboard so the integrated graphics processor is not enabled.

Snap! My PSU blew and took my motherboard (+ CPU?) with it, and I'd like to order new components...
