Hrm. I've only used the PUEL version. If you need to upgrade the guest additions to get X to work, see here: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1588889

I guess I'll do the following on the virtualized host then:

Code:

sudo apt-get remove virtualbox-ose-guest-x11

reinstall the additions, and finally

Code:

sudo apt-get install virtualbox-ose-guest-x11

I'll let you know!
