Has anyone successfully ran sony vegas movie editing software in ubuntu? The only non open source software i need to use is sony vegas, i have hd platinum 10 and i cant get it to work in WINE and for some reason, the windows 7 I have is on a usb drive that Dell sent me and it isn't recognized by Virtual Box. Is there another way to do this, or can anyone tell me how to install in wine or install windows 7 in Virtual Box from dell's usb stick?

I have ubuntu maverick meerkat 10.10. Sony Vegas 10 that i have is only for Windows 7.

I'd be fine re-partitioning my harddrive and reinstalling windows and ubuntu for a dual boot. I accidentally wrote over the entire drive when I installed ubuntu, so I have sda1 988 gb and then sda2-ext 11 and sda5 2.2 rough estimates on the numbers but you get the idea. Gparted won't let me shrink sda2 and add a partition that isn't being used.

So, what would you do?
