    No, not regarding the monitor specs, at least as far as I know.

    You could also try the "xrandr" way described in the guide I posted earlier:

    AMD Radeon solution for me:

    In short, sometimes (e.g. in my case) my user's .kde settings were overruling the system settings set by the AMD Catalyst Control Center app in Debian Squeeze kde.

    Symptom: Login screen had dual monitors working correctly, but weren't working correctly after logging in. Changes via AMD Catalyst Control Center would revert following reboot - or re-login.

    Resolution:
    a) rm -rf $HOME/.kde
    b) comment out xrandr setting in $HOME/.kde/share/config/*

    -M
