Help! Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid legacy driver install.

As mentioned in the thread i need help installing a driver for GeForce GTS/Pro. I'm not a total newbie to ubuntu, but not a techie either. I googled a lot of stuff and got stuck on a point where the nvidia driver module is being compiled for my kernel(or something like that). I think i have the appropriate kernel headers and all, but after trying to compile it just gives me an error that i couldn't compile. Thank's in advance.
