micro instance AMI below 10GB

I checked the Ubuntu AMIs at http://uec-images.ubuntu.com/releases/10.04/release/, but all of them occupies 15GB of space.

Are there any official Ubuntu AMI, which is suitable for the Free Tier (up to 10GB)?

Or are there any nearly-officials that are reliable?
Or is there a way to create one?

Any of the daily images 20101106 or later at http://uec-images.ubuntu.com/server/maverick/ will have 8G root FS
