Hi guys, I'm having a problem with Pitivi in 10.10.
Here's what happened: I installed 10.10 but did not install the proprietary driver for my Nvidia 8500GT when first asked. I decided to NOT install it because it screws up the bootscreen and I don't use any fancy effects. Then I found that Pitivi wouldn't render anything except for the videos with the Theora codec. I'm very positive that it's not an issue with Pitivi because I had a previous install of 10.10 in this same PC that would render with the only change that I had the proprietary Nvidia driver installed since the beginning.
So, I installed the proprietary driver and Pitivi started to render again but all the videos played (in all players, vlc included) had this weird coloring in blue. Visible, just tinted in blue, if I make sense. In the forum I found out how to fix the problem in this http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.p...ght=blue+video thread here. ....guess what, Pitivi won't render again. I removed it as well as the codecs and reintalled but I get the same results.
At this point I just want to know if I should just go for a fresh install and not play with the proprietary drivers or try to fix this.
