lynx web browser - flash websites ??

    Hello all,

I have been using lynx for sometime specially when on a slow connection. I was wondering if there's a way of accessing flash-based websites (completely flash-based) using lynx ?

    thx

if you've got flash installed on your system, you should be able to see it

On firefox I don't have any problems with flash. Am not sure if i have adobe flash but am sure I have Schockwave flash. Moreover, I operate on a 64-bit system. How should I proceed ? And does plugins in firefox like Noscript affect lynx ?

One more thing; I checked this page which directs from the link you suggested & I do have the restricted package installed.

go onto the ubuntu software centre and download:...

    >ubuntu restricted extras
    >and see if you've got flash 10 plugin installed

(also having ubuntu extras installed is always good as alot of simple problems like this can be caused by not having the right stuff which restricted extras helps you with)

    Everybody, hang on.

    I`ts a text based browser.

I don`t think it can view flash.

    I stand to be corrected.

I'm pretty sure astrobob.tk is referring to the command line web browser, lynx.

    EDIT: Aw man, too slow.
