LOL...yeah I should have asked for 20 of them so I could make videos on the fun ways to destruct them.
Also I started a new Tips and tricks discussion:

I recieved my CR-48 on Monday the 21st of December. The night of the Winter Solstice, the night that the moon eclipsed, the first night of Winter. No wonder I do not get 'freebies' too often if all the world has to align
I too did not recieve an email notification, UPS just dropped it off. I have read that Google stopped taking applications for the CR-48 on the 21st also.
Good luck to you all, hope ya get one.
Now, if anyone has links to some sites that have tips or haks on the cr-48, please let me know...
Well, I was pretty pleased when mine arrived a week ago. So far I am loving it and exploring. That being said I would really like to have a Ubuntu netbook image to boot into for other work I do and carry only one machine.
Following:
I get lost after build the chroot environment. While I am very handy at using Vbox command line, I don't get how to boot into the new chroot image for the first time and create the initial .vdi.Code:https://sites.google.com/a/chromium.org/dev/chromium-os/developer-information-for-chrome-os-devices/cr-48-chrome-notebook-developer-information/how-to-boot-ubuntu-on-a-cr-48
I'd really like to see a better howTo. In the mean time, I would appreciate any tips on the steps from building chroot image and booting into it using vbox for the first time.
A-typical; I post an inquiry and solve the problem minutes later. Doh!In the mean time, I would appreciate any tips on the steps from building chroot image and booting into it using vbox for the first time.
For one reason or another, I got the idea to build a chroot environment on my primary Maverick machine and got confused on how to link that with vbox. It appears to be as simple as deploying the appropriate image in vbox as normal and then converting the .vdi.
More to come and hopefully a more coherent howTo.

@ ~~Tito~~, thanks for the reference! I'm headed out on an errand but will give this a run upon my return and move my notes/questions over to your thread for clarity.8)http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1651290

Yeah, its pretty straight forward, it took me a loooong time to figure it out since I have to relearn my linux commands and such, but I did it. I am thinking of having another distro on there though. I just don't know what.

A little off track, but whats with the tracker results for places like 92677, 92656, and other So Cal locations compared with Mountain View, SFO, and even Redmond, Cupertino. I know there is much less density but the recent compared activity is discouraging for us in So Cal.
