Users' mailing list forum post wonkie

Some posts to the mailing list did not have the forum user name in the headers.

Do you know if it is a transient or an intermittent problem?

Shown is a screenshot with two posts from the same user, several hours apart.

is it possible it's a new feature put in place after March 23rd?

PS. I'm the guilty part: thanks for pointing out that forum signatures do not show up in mailing list.

Yeah we fixed the issue back in March.. So if someone was to reply to a older thread it would be broke.. Nothing that can be done about that

That thread was started yesterday. Towsonu2003's first post to that thread should have been properly headed just like the one that was properly headed eight hours later. Same poster, same thread, same day, but with different headers.

So it's an intermittent problem, then.

I sort of see what your talking about AZ.

    16000+ emails, time to dump?

Looking through my many thousands of messages, I can only see those posts as being buggy. Perhaps there was some forum maintenace going on at the time?

Despite there being about 1000 new forum users per day in the last few days, there have only been a few posts from the forum to the users' mailing list, but they all are fine and properly headed.

If the problem comes up again, I'll snap some more screenshots...
