Arrow Change Panel Behavior w/AWN Installed

this one has me stumped. there's lots of info out there on hiding or getting rid of the top panel if you want to go solely with your dock of choice (in this case awn).

here's where i came up empty: when i launch a program from the dock, i do not want the indication to show up in the top panel.

screenshot shows ff running, i know this 'cuz i can see that box in the top panel. don't want to see it , but want to keep the overall panel visible and accessible. looked in gconf-editor to no avail.

    thx in advance!

You would have to remove your notification applets from the panel.

That's not quite true. You can keep your notification and indicator applets if you like them. The applet that's running on your top panel is the Window List applet, which you will need to remove. You should be able to right-click in the empty space directly to the left of the applet and select Remove From Panel to get rid of it. If you ever want to add it back, simply right-click on any empty space on your panel and click Add To Panel, then select the Window List applet.

    Hope that helps.

Liverbones is correct , if you choose to run the indicator applet and notification area from Awn they can be added to your dock from the applets list.

    De nada, señor.

Have your dock working as planned, then, I hope?
