    do i need a password to log into ubuntu?

    Hi. i just wondered if i need a password to log in to ubuntu as i'm the only who uses my computer.

    No you don't.

    If you go to System>Administration>Users and Groups, select your account, and there where it says
    Password: Asked on Login
    Click on Change and check the box for 'don't ask for password on login'. (It's near the bottom).

    Restart and you should go straight to your desktop, no password required.
