Gee! These Aren't Roasted!
I just installed ubuntu 10.10 on my toshiba laptop (Toshiba A215-S7428) and everything installed correctly to my knowledge. When i boot it up i get the ubuntu splash screen with the dots, and it wont move past that screen. I have waited 30 minutes and it still wont get past that screen. I am not dual booting and this is a fresh install of ubuntu 10.10. Please help.

Try turning it off and on again - I know it sounds like a windows solution but I had this once and turning it off and on again cured it.
Is the HD light flashing?
I have a major malfunction!

could you hit 'Esc' while its loading and post any error massages you see
