Why is the Meerkat Ion 2 TB HDD so costly?

The Meerkat Ion upgrade from 320 GB to 2 TB costs $169, while the upgrade to 1 TB is $35. The Ratel upgrade from 250 GB to 2 TB is only $95. Why is the Meerkat Ion 2 TB HDD so much more costly?

The reason the Meerkat 2TB is more expensive then the Ratel 2TB is simply because they are 2 different hard drives.
The Meerkat is a 2TB 7200 RPM SATA II where as the Ratel is a 2 TB SATA II 300 Mbps 32 MB Cache. There both 2TB SATA II but they are slightly different models. This is why one is more expensive then the other.
I tell them how great Ubuntu is. I tell them its fast, virus free and it cost nothing to install or upgrade, and yet all they care about is "Can I play World of Warcraft on it?"
