Click window to focus not top bar

Before in 10.04 and previous, when I clicked on a window it was brought to the front. In 10.10 it doesn't, it accepts input but the other window over it stays over it until i click the windows top bar. Want it back the way it was, any help?

One ought, every day at least, to hear a little song, read a good poem, see a fine picture, and, if it were possible, speak a few reasonable words...

TYVM, didn't realize this would work since I run with "none" set for visual effects (which i believe uses metacity instead of compiz), but this totally worked, ty.
