    Never ending stream of questions....

Seems no matter how long I work with Ubuntu....I never know enough to overcome all obstacles.

Todays issue is that I'm installing Ubuntu 9.10 on a Dell Desktop computer and the buttons for "continuing" (at the very bottom of the install pages) is obscured.

I cant see the Continue buttons.

    First time for this one.

You can't alt-click move because it's an installation screen and isn't available.

Anyone know how to get past this?

    thx as always

if you hit Alt+Space, you shoudl get a window control menu, including among other things, "Move". if you can;t click on move, just type 'M' to select it. if you can't click the title bar, just hold ctrl, and use your arrow keys to move the window around.

BTW, this workaround is identical in every way on windows, down to the exact key combos.

I'm glad linux is keeping you seeking and learning. that is my favorite aspect to it.

btw, if the window control menu does not come up, try just hitting 'C' or enter. this will likely trigger your continue button.

Are you on the "who are you" page? If you are, did you start the username with a capital letter? No capitals aloud there. If not, ignore me

I have that happen fairly often on hardware that needs safe graphics mode/nomodeset to boot, I always use the Tab key to move to the next button.

I have had this problem a few times, and what usually helps me, is to move the top and bottom panels to each side, this normally gives enough additional view to see the buttons.

    Folks,

This issue is related to the INSTALLATION Screens...when you're INSTALLING Ubuntu.

    Not the regular screens.

It does that on my netbook.. cuz the screen resolution is so small.

I have to just tab + space and pray.

I read it. You can use tab to go between the buttons, even if you cannot see them.
