Need New Webhost

My current webhost, Proaxxs web solutions kicked me out yesterday due to high cpu usage for the 3d time this year. Im currently negotiating on getting my data back.

Does anyone know any good webhosts I can use?

Edit: and it looks like their sworn to hate me. I guess an entire site redesign is (again) in progress....
Luckily, all my blog posts are backed up to posterous and tumblr

I don't know if they would be any different, but I have been using 1and1.com for many years.

I am curious, if I may ask, what kinda web apps are you running that would be spiking their cpus?

My friend Zash owns MyBBwebhost, it would work great even if you don't need or want MyBB

Joe another friend, works at http://www.gigenetcloud.com/ but thats servers.

I've been told to refer http://www.rackspacecloud.com/ Though i've had nothing but troubles.

The only one i personally have used, is dreamhost. My friend had a 100 off coupon for a two year package if you wish to go that way.

My suggestions are
1) To avoid using a webhost that has a business relationship with your domain registrar.
2) To have a full backup of the site and any related data on a computer unrelated to the webhost.

I use http://evohosting.co.uk; It's UK based(clearly) and they're really cheap for what they offer.

I've hosted friend's websites i've made for them on there aswell as my own and it's a great service. Every time i've asked for help from them they've replied within a few minutes. Maybe I got lucky mind.

I've never experienced any down-time and their servers always seem to be running at a great speed.

It was less than £50 for 2 years hosting with a free domain name, which is incredibly cheap in my opinion.

I use 000webhost, which is free, and awesome The features and bandwidth you get for a free host is incredible. Another 5 odd dollars gets you unlimited bandwidth, ftp accounts etc etc.

They've been solid as a rock for me
